James Lea M.A.
GEEDiT
GEEDiT(Google Earth Engine Digitisation Tool):
The Google Earth Engine Digitisation Tool (GEEDiT) and GEEDiT Reviewer are complementary tools that are designed to allow users to rapidly access time-series of full-resolution satellite imagery from anywhere on the planet and to manually digitize, review, and export margin information.GEEDiT Regional is suited for users interested in generating cloud-free composite/mosaicked images of large areas (rather than looking at time series of images), and digitizing features from these. GEEDiT Regional is not described in the original GEEDiT/MaQiT publication, but uses similar code – users should therefore cite the paper below if it is used in any publications. GEEDiT links: GEEDiT v1.012 – Tier 1 imagery – highest quality imagery GEEDiT v1.012 – Tier 2 imagery – imagery that does not meet Tier 1 criteria – includes Antarctic imagery currently missing from Tier 1 image collections

MaQiT
MaQiT(Margin Change Quantification Tool ):
The Margin change Quantification Tool (MaQiT) is a free-to-use, easy-to-use standalone application that can be used to quantify the distance of margin change and merge/convert multiple GeoJSON files and shapefiles to single shapefiles. Users without a general Matlab license will be prompted to download and install the free Matlab Runtime software that will allow MaQiT to run (warning: this could take up to 1Gb of space on your hard drive!). For users with a general Matlab license, MaQiT can be run without installing Matlab Runtime by copying all script files to a single directory and running the MaQiT.m script. MaQiT can analyze datasets generated by both GEEDiT/GEEDiT Reviewer, and other pre-existing margin datasets. For datasets not generated by GEEDiT, the margin shapefiles must contain a field named ‘Date’ with values in the format YYYY-MM-DD. MaQiT will ignore all other fields. More information can be found in the supplementary readme file of the associated paper.
