Although Tencent Distributed Cloud is deployed in the customer data center, the products and technologies are public cloud technologies, and the operation and maintenance work is also the responsibility of the public cloud operation and maintenance team. Therefore, the scale advantage of public cloud operation and maintenance will also be reflected in Tencent Distributed Cloud.
In order to achieve this effect, CDC has made special designs in the customer's local deployment and management methods so that it can be deployed in large quantities to customer data centers and edge data centers.
- Three-layer network connection: The customer network is connected based on the three-layer network. The control network can be controlled as long as it is connected to the nearest Tencent Cloud POP point. This method reduces the difficulty and cost of access, and also reduces the construction period of access implementation, which is conducive to rapid deployment in edge scenarios such as office parks, hospitals, and factories.
- SD-WAN access: CDC supports the use of SD-WAN hardware and access solutions for control networks. There is no need for customers to provide networks, and the ability to respond to edge scenarios is better.
- Smart cabinet: For edge scenarios, if customers do not have professional data centers, CDC can be delivered based on integrated smart cabinets with dynamic rings, UPS, and refrigeration. This solution has very little time cost and capital investment, but it can significantly improve the basic environment protection capabilities in edge scenarios, thereby ensuring that CDC can provide sufficient service availability.
- Remote centralized control: All CDCs are remotely connected to the Region and centrally managed by the public cloud operation and maintenance team. The monitoring system and operation and maintenance system of the public cloud can take effect on the CDC environment, thereby achieving high operation and maintenance efficiency. Compared with the traditional private cloud, which requires the construction of a support environment for each cloud environment and the deployment of operation and maintenance engineers, the CDC model operation and maintenance cost has significant advantages.
- Flexible standby solution: According to the customer's availability requirements and the environment, the standby solution can be flexibly adjusted. In the event of a failure, the business is switched to the standby machine through automated tools to continue running. This ensures that even when the MTTR of hardware failures is high, an SLA that meets customer business needs can be provided.
